The Department of Communities (Disability Services) needs full and/or part-time practising psychologists for the Specialist Response Service to help build more positive futures for Queensland adults with a disability and challenging behaviour. We’re seeking experienced psychologists from the disability, mental health, special education and related fields to support these people.

The positions are based in regional centres within Queensland, Australia, that offer all modern amenities and a relaxed way of life. There is one permanent position available at Rockhampton, with temporary positions available at the Sunshine Coast and North Brisbane.

The role of Principal Clinician presents an interesting clinical caseload and is required to supervise, train, mentor and manage a team of multi-disciplinary clinicians, providing best practice solutions in positive behaviour support.

To be part of our team, you will need to:

• have extensive current clinical expertise working with people with an intellectual or cognitive disability and/or mental illness who exhibit severely challenging behaviour, and

• be fully registered or eligible to be fully registered as a psychologist in Queensland.
