Details:
A management opportunity has arisen within our Mental Health &
Addiction Services.
We are an expanding and forward moving service, looking for a Manager
to lead our Acute Mental Health Services with vision, enthusiasm
coupled with appropriate management experience, good leadership
and communication skills.
These skills will be used to ensure the general activities of the
Acute Services Teams are conducted in a manner which recognises
an integrated health management system, workforce development, meets
legislative requirements, mitigates risk and utilises best practice
in team development, decision making and problem solving to ensure
the best possible care for our Consumers, with particular emphasis
on the national documents Te Tahuhu and Our Lives 2014.
Our Acute Services primarily include:
• A 27 bed Acute Inpatient Unit
• Crisis Team
• Acute Home Based Treatment
• A 4 bed High & Complex Needs Long Term Rehabilitation
Unit
• Physical Health Outcomes Service
The ideal candidate will have the
following:
• An appropriate Health Tertiary Qualification in Management
(preferable)
• Current Annual Practising Certificate
• Current driver’s licence
Training & Experience:
• Expert clinical experience and knowledge — 5 to 7
years in the Health sector, preferably in Mental Health & Addiction
Sector.
• Previous experience in a leadership role with significant
clinical experience and knowledge.
